Preparation of the subfloor

The subfloor must be firm, level, free of dust and cracks. Level out any large differences in height. Then roll out the Cortex PE sheeting and overlap by about 20 cm. Finally, glue the sheeting joints.

Do-it-yourself floor laying made easy

You can easily lay your cork or linoleum "glueless" floating parquet yourself. Here's how it's done:

After you have prepared the subfloor, start laying in the right-hand corner of the room with the tongue facing the wall. Align the narrow ends and tap until flush.

The second row starts with the sawn-off remainder of the first row, resulting in an offset. Always close the long sides first without a gap, then close the joint on the narrow end.

The click connection ensures the panels automatically snap into parallel alignment. The last row will usually have to be sawn to fit.

Finally the last row is fitted in using the drawbar. Make sure there is an expansion gap all round (1 cm).
